Born in Los Angeles in April nineteen forty-seven, Mark’s career spanned six decades — from topping charts in the nineteen sixties, to touring worldwide, to teaching as “Professor Flo” at Belmont University. Despite health challenges, including a battle with throat cancer and later Lewy body dementia, he continued to perform and inspire until his final years.
